Matcha is a trend these days, especially matcha green tea. But if you are not into tea ,no worries. The good news is you don’t have to limit yourself to just matcha tea if you are a big fan of matcha. There are a lot of matcha recipes you can choose from. A cake. A smoothie. And a lot more. All I can say is there endless choices of matcha recipes.
Now, with a little patience from you to read through the six recipes we’ve assembled for you, you can now incorporate more matcha to your life.
Excited? So am I. So without further wasting of time, let’s just into the first delicious matcha recipe.
1. Matcha and Chia Bowl
If you are like me in deep love with that colorful morning bowl, this one is for you.
Looking for a antioxidant rich food to kick off your morning with? There is no better than a bowl of matcha chia and matcha.
To get it done, you will need:
2 tablespoons of matcha green tea powder
Some tangerine slices
Flax seeds oil
A Greek yoghurt
First, try to soak up 2 or 3 tablespoons of chia seeds in water for 7 to 10 min. Once you notice the seeds are wearing a puddling like texture, blend them with all the one or all of the above ingredients. Enjoy!
2. Matcha truffles
Why UN? Let’s face it. We all love bonbons, but when packed up of gluten, dairy and a lot of crap, for me, I’d personally give it up. Un stands for gluten-free and dairy free. Meaning, the truffles are almost vegan with a chocolatey taste.
You will need the following:
Two tablespoons of matcha powder
Half a cup of almonds ( roasted)
A quarter cup of coconut manna
A quarter cup of honey
9 dates( all soaked up and pits free)
Two tablespoons of cocoa powder
A pinch of salt
A little vanilla
You can add on top:
Hemp seeds, chia seeds, coco nibs or flakes.
Before anything, try to soak up the dates in hot water for at least 20 minutes. Add them to the blender, of course pits free. Blend the almonds till they are thick, like almond butter. Now, mix the two mixtures with the rest of the ingredients until you get a good a well held texture.
Now, to the refrigerator,
Put the texture in the refrigerator until it’s firm. Then, try to make bite size balls from the texture. Add your favorite toppings and there you go. Enjoy!
3. Matcha butter
This is the perfect alternative for the butter you use everyday. Matcha butter is just wow, especially with the morning toast.
To prepare matcha butter, you will need the following:
A slice of salted butter( grass fed cows)
Two tablespoons of matcha powder
Melt the butter a little. After cubing it, add it to a bowl. Over the butter, try to sift matcha, a little bit at a time. Whenever you add matcha powder, try to blend the mixture very well. Continue this way until you get a very mixture, without any clumps. For future use of your matcha butter, try wrapping up in a paper, plastic or parchment . Now, you can wrap your matcha butter into a plastic.
4. Matcha Smoothie
I wanted to keep this till the end cuz that’s my favorite. I adore smoothies, especially healthy ones. In a smoothie, you can gulp in in a hurry with all the nutrients you can from a 30 min meal. But when it comes to matcha smoothies, my love is more than to explain it in words.
To get yourself a good matcha smoothie, you don’t need much.
All you need is the following:
Half a cup of yoghurt
One tablespoon of matcha powder
And a good blender. Blend everything very well. Grab yourself a big cup. Pour in the mixture. Enjoy!
